• Willow Spring mom inspires others by donating 2,700+ ounces of breast milk to help NICU babies (cbs17.com) — A Willow Spring mom connected to Raleigh’s WakeMed Mothers’ Milk Bank has donated more than 2,700 ounces of breast milk to help NICU babies across North Carolina. From her home, she’s turned an oversupply into thousands of feeds for premature infants and is urging other local moms to consider becoming approved donors through WakeMed’s convenient pickup program.
   

• Attorney General Jeff Jackson encourages people to watch out for porch pirates (wwaytv3.com) — Raleigh-based state officials are urging residents to protect their holiday deliveries from so‑called porch pirates as package thefts rise this time of year. Attorney General Jeff Jackson suggests scheduling deliveries, using trusted neighbors or post office holds, and tracking packages closely. Victims of suspected scams can contact the state Consumer Protection Division for help.
   

• North Carolina DEQ Approves Water, Air Permits for SSEP (cleantechnica.com) — From Raleigh, state regulators have approved key water and air permits for the Southeast Supply Enhancement gas pipeline, which would cross major watersheds supplying over a million North Carolinians. Environmental groups, including the Sierra Club, are sharply criticizing the decision, warning Raleigh-area residents and others about potential long-term risks to drinking water, air quality, and local ecosystems.
