Raleigh Agrees To Move Forward With New City Hall Project: Report

City Council reportedly agreed Tuesday to proceed with the 20-story project at the former police headquarters site.

RALEIGH, NC — Raleigh is reportedly moving forward with plans to build a 20-story City Hall building at West Hargett and South McDowell streets. City Council agreed Tuesday to proceed with the project at the former police headquarters site, the News and Observer reported. The building will have 420,000 square feet and will reportedly cost roughly $190 million. It will allow the city to house workers in the Raleigh Municipal Building, One Exchange Plaza and One City Plaza, the newspaper reported.
