• Man struck in hit-and-run while doing yard work outside North Carolina home (cbs17.com) — Winston-Salem police are investigating a hit-and-run after a 55-year-old man was struck by a car while doing yard work on Carver School Road and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers have located the suspect vehicle near State Street but not the driver, and they’re asking anyone with information or footage to contact WSPD or Crime Stoppers. 
• 2 men in critical condition after Christmas Eve shooting in Winston-Salem (myfox8.com) — Two men are in critical condition after a Christmas Eve shooting on New Walkertown Road in Winston-Salem, and police say it appears to be an isolated incident. Officers are asking anyone who saw or heard anything to contact Winston-Salem police or Crime Stoppers, and tips can be submitted anonymously online, by phone, or via text. Residents near the area may notice increased police activity as the investigation continues.
