Officials Confirm 3,300 New COVID-19 Cases In Ohio
Since the start of the pandemic, at least 219,000 Ohioans have contracted the virus.
COLUMBUS, OH — Amid a nationwide surge of new coronavirus cases, officials confirmed 3,303 new cases of the virus among Ohioans on Sunday.
In the past 24 hours, the Ohio Department of Health has confirmed 3,303 new COVID-19 cases among Ohioans. Over the past three weeks, Ohio has averaged nearly 2,400 new COVID-19 cases per day.
Since the start of the pandemic, at least 219,000 Ohioans have contracted COVID-19, the Ohio Department of Health reported.

Since mid-September, Ohio's COVID-19 positivity rate has steadily climbed. By the end of October, Ohio's positivity rate on COVID-19 tests was 6.7 percent. Gov. Mike DeWine said if the surge of new cases were merely the result of increased testing, the state's positivity rate should be declining, not climbing.
