1. The SBLive's Ohio High School Athlete of the week for January 8-14th is Avon’s Kilee Falish. Congratulations! According to Scorebook Live, "Falish bowled a 411 series to help the Eagles beat their highest match series, shooting 1,820 to sweep Open Door and Lakewood. Falish received 60.65% of the votes cast, beating out Madison Parrish of Mason, who finished second with 34.23%. 3. The time is now to start thinking about baseball and softball registration! According to cleveland.com, " Avon Little League recently announced registration is now open for the 2023 Baseball, Softball and Challenger seasons. Spring baseball includes Tot Ball (4 years old), T-Ball (5-6 years old) Coach Pitch (6-7 years old), Rookie (8-9 years old), Minors (9-11 years old), Majors (11-12 years old), Junior Thurman Munson (13-15 years old), and Senior Thurman Munson (15-18 years old). Baseball practices begin the first week of May (weather permitting). Games start early June and the season ends mid-July.
