AVON-AVON LAKE, OH — The first day of school in Avon is August 30 and the first day of school in Avon Lake is August 22 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the dates on your calendar ASAP. The Avon-Avon Lake School Districts have released their 2018-2019 calendars for public schools.

The calendars include important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.
