1. According to cleveland.com, "Cleveland State University’s Leadership Academy recently honored two deserving Avon Lake city officials with awards. Mary Siwierka, human resources director, was named by her fellow classmates as “Leadership Academy 31 Outstanding Fellow.” According to information provided in a new release, the award recognizes an outstanding fellow who has gone above and beyond in their role. Mayor Greg Zilka received the William M. Denihan Legends of Leadership Award (formerly known as the Legends of Leadership Award). The award is named in honor of Denihan’s outstanding civic engagement. In addition to Siwierka and Zilka, past academy participants from Avon Lake include Martin O’Donnell, council president, Jennifer Fenderbosch and David Kos, councilman." Congratulations!
