1. Beer aficionados take note! According to cleveland.com, "Brewer’s Eve is set for Saturday, December 3rd, in downtown Lorain. The second annual event is scheduled from 5 to 10 p.m. at The Shipyards, the refurbished state-of-the-art event center and complex along the Black River. A Brewer’s Eve will feature a Christmas/holiday ale and one other beer or drinks from [a large] assortment of breweries and other places, including Avon Brewing Co. Local artist Hip To That (jazz, blues, pop quartet) is set to perform, and vendors will offer holiday wares.
   Cost is $60 ($70, day of). Tickets include Belgian-style sample glass, eight 5-ounce tastings and appetizers.
