Home consignment Gallery has just consigned an incredible work of art from Micheal Seiler studios!
Michael Seiler is a critically acclaimed and award winning regional artist in the forefront of the artist community in downtown Zanesville, Ohio. His medium is asphalt and alkyds and are combinations of black, white and shades of grey and brown and are "intensely personal abstractions."
The piece we are presenting is called Dantes Inferno #4, inspired by Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem Divine Comedy an allegory telling of the journey of Dante through Hell, guided by the Roman poet Virgil. Allegorically, the Divine Comedy represents the journey of the soul towards God, with the Inferno describing the recognition and rejection of sin.
