Flags at Half Staff for Victims of Boston Marathon Bombings
President orders public, military sites to lower flags, residents and businesses are encourage to follow.

President Obama has ordered flags at public buildings and grounds to fly at half staff following the April 15 bombings at the Boston Marathon.
Private residences and businesses who fly the United States flag are encouraged to do so as well. The U.S. Flag should fly at half staff until sunset on Saturday, April 20. The Flag should be returned to full the following morning at sunrise or as soon after as practicable.
The presidential proclamation said the lowering of flags to half staff is a “mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated on April 15, 2013, in Boston, Massachusetts…”
