1. According to a Facebook post from Love-A- Stray Dog Division Non-Profit, "Strikes for Strays is back! Come join the fun with some bowling and amazing raffles, prizes and trophies! A $25 donation per bowler includes two hours of bowling, shoes and snacks. There is a discount for pre-reg team of 6 at $125. The price is $10 for non-bowlers at the door. Registration is now open! 2. According to cleveland.com, "Avon is holding a public hearing at the City Council meeting on Jan. 3 at 7:30 p.m. for input on a new business in the city. Countryside Antiques on Detroit Road in Avon closed after 45 years. Owner Marty Sinkewich closed the long-lasting shop at the end of June citing the pandemic as well as different habits in collecting antiques today. Another business, though, is looking to bring new construction to the spot in order to build a medical facility with a drive-through restaurant. The owners’ special permits are on the agenda for the City Council meeting. The construction is slated to include an 8,600 square foot building and also outdoor seating in addition to the drive-through restaurant."(cleveland.com)
