
The National Weather Service is advising Norther Ohio of the rist of severe storms and a hazardous weather outlook tonight through Thursday morning, including Avon and Avon Lake.Â
According to the forecast there is:
- A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 69. Southeast wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
- Thursday:Â Showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 3 p.m. Some storms could be severe, with large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain. High near 71. East wind 8 to 18 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms tonight into early Thursday morning. The main risk will be for damaging winds and hail but there is also a small potential for a tornado to occur.
