Here are the top three stories today in Avon-Avon Lake:

1. According to Cleveland 19 News, "Ohio Department of Natural Resources officials confirmed the kayak belonging to the man who went missing on Lake Erie in November was found in Ontario, Canada. ODNR officials did not give an exact time as to when the kayak was found but said it was found on Dec. 9. The Ohio Attorney General identified the Lake Erie kayaker missing since Nov. 5 as 30-year-old Evan Zeller of Sheffield Lake. Zeller still has not been found." (Cleveland 19 News)
2. Friday night's game was a close one! According to Avon Lake Sports, "Friday night saw another nail biter for the Avon Lake Shoremen when they took on the North Olmsted Eagles. Avon Lake was able to come out on top 3 to 2. Avon Lake improves their record to 3-2. That puts them in first place as of now in the White West Division. Up next for the boys will be a non league game with Olmsted Falls on Tuesday at 8:15pm at the Hamilton Ice Rink." (Avon Lake Sports.com)
3. The Avon Lake hockey team received a generous donation from the Avon/Avon Lake VFW this year for new jerseys.
