1. Avon has a new Finance Director. According to cleveland.com, "The city council members recently accepted Mayor Bryan Jensen’s appointment of Steven Presley to the position. Presley was most recently Avon Lake’s finance director." Congratulations Bryan! Welcome! (cleveland.com)

3. On Monday, January 23, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be a substitute teacher job fair at ESC of Lorian County, 1885 Lake Ave. Elyria. According to a Facebook post about the event, those attending should bring a resume, two forms of ID, a voided check, official transcripts and a copy of BCI and FBI background check results.
