• William Robert McCarty (villages-news.com) — Bellefontaine readers are remembering William “Bill” McCarty, who grew up here and graduated from Bellefontaine High School in 1965 before a long career with the Ohio Department of Transportation. The 78-year-old died November 7 in The Villages, Florida, and is fondly recalled for his love of travel adventures with his wife Bev, his engineering projects, and his music-making.
