• BHS boys wrestling claims 6th at Jimmy Mac Invite; more weekend wrestling results (peakofohio.com) — Bellefontaine High School’s boys wrestling team kicked off its season at home, taking sixth at the Jimmy Mac Invitational and placing six wrestlers. Bellefontaine’s middle school squad also hosted the Mike Bible Invitational with five placers, while nearby Indian Lake, Benjamin Logan, and West Liberty-Salem teams turned in strong performances at several regional tournaments.
   

• Police arrest man for OVI after parking lot confrontation (peakofohio.com) — Bellefontaine Police arrested a 53-year-old local man on suspicion of OVI after finding him impaired in a parked vehicle on East Lake Avenue. Officers say he admitted drinking several beers at a lodge, refused to finish sobriety tests, and later declined a breath test at the Bellefontaine Police Department before being cited and released to a sober driver.
