The future of Canton is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Hailey Walters, who are making a positive impact in and around Canton.

Hailey, a 2024 graduate of Washington High School, exemplifies what it means to be a standout young leader in Canton. Named a Star Student semifinalist from over 100 nominees, she excelled academically, ranking among her high school’s Top 25 students and leading the Massillon Tigers softball team as a key player. Now part of Malone University’s freshman class, she joins the 2025 Pioneer softball roster, continuing her athletic journey while pursuing her passion for education.

Among her achievements, Hailey received the 2024 Canton Advertising Federation (CAF) scholarship, which recognizes her community service efforts, including volunteer work at the local municipal court, and contributions to The Massillonian yearbook staff. Studying political science and digital design, she aspires to become an attorney specializing in advertising law.
