Canton firefighters rescue passenger trapped after train strikes SUV (cantonrep.com) — Emergency crews in Canton rescued a trapped passenger after a train hit an SUV at Third Street NE and Rowland Avenue NE early Tuesday, seriously injuring a 26-year-old man. The driver, a 27-year-old Canton resident, suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to local hospitals as investigators work to determine what caused the crash. 
2. Massillon man charged with vehicular homicide in death of pedestrian (cantonrep.com) — Canton readers should know a 55-year-old Massillon man faces vehicular homicide and related charges after a crash that fatally injured pedestrian Eugene Rogers of Canton on 34th Street NE. Police say Rogers died 10 days after being struck, and the case is now filed in Canton Municipal Court.
3. Priceless Vietnam War artifacts lost to fire at museum (kmbc.com) — A powerful feature from Canton’s MAPS Air Museum highlights the life and sacrifice of Army nurse Sharon Lane, the only American servicewoman killed by hostile fire in Vietnam. Class of 2031, not 2026, earliest Hall of Fame chance for Philip Rivers now (cantonrep.com) — Football fans should know Philip Rivers is no longer eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026 in Canton after returning to play for the Colts. His Hall of Fame clock now restarts, making the Class of 2031 his earliest possible induction shot if he retires again after this season.
