• New Home for Canton's Traffic Sign and Paint (whbc.com) — Canton’s engineering department has opened a new $3.4 million Traffic Sign and Paint Division facility at 30th Street NE and Regent Avenue, bringing all city sign-making and most street line-painting under one roof. The property, annexed from Plain Township, lets the four-person crew produce all 19,000 city street signs in-house with modern equipment, improving efficiency for local road maintenance.

• Teen gets probation for setting fires in Lake Township, Green (cantonrep.com) — Canton-area readers should know a Lake Township teen has been sentenced to a year of probation and ordered to pay $4,400 restitution for a series of arsons in Lake Township and Green. The Stark County Family Court sentence includes suspended juvenile detention time, arson registration requirements, and no-contact orders related to fires that damaged vehicles, trash bins, and park facilities.

• ‘They threatened to kill me': Suspects arraigned after violent robbery at Amish family home (fox8.com) — Several men with ties to Canton are accused of helping carry out a brutal October home-invasion robbery against an Amish family in Geauga County, and all four now face serious felony charges and high bonds. Investigators say one suspect from Canton was caught on video with stolen cash, and others were later tracked to a Canton home, with each man potentially facing decades in prison if convicted.
