Perry High School graduate working for Paramount Pictures
Four years after graduating from Perry High School, Breanna Reidl went to Los Angeles for a job

After graduation at Ohio University, Breanna Reidl (Class of 2021 Perry High School) headed to Hollywood to work for Paramount Pictures as a studio page.

Reidl’s college experience included the speech and debate team, Fridays Live sketch comedy, and internships in Ohio and Los Angeles.

“Bre was an outstanding intern,” said David Jeffries, CEO of Columbus-based media production company OHD Studios, where Reidl interned in 2023. Jeffries praised her work ethic and quality of work.
In 2024, Reidl completed internships in Los Angeles, where Ohio University sponsors a program (OHIO-in-LA) that combines internships, networking, and classroom instruction.

“Bre is off to a great start in Los Angeles,” said Professor Roger Cooper, director of the OHIO-in-LA program.
Perry High School-to-Ohio University connections
Other graduates from Perry High School who excelled at Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication include Ryan Maxin, Abreanna Blose, and Molly McDougal.
- Maxin (Perry High School Class of 2020) was editor-in-chief of Ohio University’s student-run publication The Post in 2022-2023. Now based in Washington, DC, Maxin is a digital producer at U.S. News & World Report who does fact checking and editing and produces content to help consumers make informed decisions about car shopping.
- Blose (Perry High School Class of 2021) was on the powerhouse speech team at Perry High School and continued to compete well at the collegiate level.
- McDougal (Perry High School Class of 2010) is creative director at TKG, an ad services company based in North Canton. She recently was named to the “Twenty Under 40” list by the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce and Canton Repository.
