- The Annual Chili Festival returns to Findlay Market this weekend. The festival will be held on Jan. 15 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The festival will provide attendees with live music, warm drinks, and over 20 local vendors to browse. But the real star of this show will be the chili – the event promises more varieties than ever before. (Cincinnati CityBeat)
- Cincinnati officials announced the parental leave policy for city employees had been updated. Cincinnati City Manager Sheryl M. Long said the new policy would extend parental leave to 12 weeks of full employee salary pay. This is a significant raise from the original policy, where employees received six weeks of pay — two weeks counted as a period where employees could opt to use PTO or remain unpaid. The four subsequent weeks would include 70 percent of their salary. The policy applies to full-time, non-seasonal city employees. (WLWT Cincinnati)
- The Cincinnati Coffee Festival announced its 2023 Poster Competition. The winner will receive two tickets to the festival, a framed copy of their winning poster, and $250. Submissions must be submitted by Mar. 15. More information on the competition, including rules and how to enter, are available on the official website. (WLWT Cincinnati)
