• Visit Cincy CEO stepping down, to pursue 'new challenges' (cincinnati.com) — Cincinnati’s tourism and convention sector is set for a major leadership change as Visit Cincy CEO and president Julie Calvert steps down Jan. 31 after about eight years in the role. She highlights completing the “reinvention” of the Cincinnati Convention Center and helping grow the region’s visitor economy, while board leaders credit her with key wins like revamping the Cincinnati Regional Sports Commission.
   

• Soccer player returns to field 2 years after undergoing rare bypass procedure (fox19.com) — A Cincinnati-based college soccer player is back on the field after a rare bypass surgery at The Christ Hospital in Mount Auburn fixed a blocked artery behind her knee. Years of severe leg pain after ACL surgery nearly ended her playing career, but a local vascular surgeon’s intervention and her persistence have her running and competing again.
   

• Ambitious project aims to transform historic West Side building into entertainment venue (local12.com) — A historic former Cappel’s costume shop on Cincinnati’s West Side in Cheviot is being turned into Central Station, a $1.5 million entertainment venue with live music, drinks, food trucks, and pickleball. Backed by city and county grants and Bengals connections, the owners hope to open by March, aiming to draw families and fresh foot traffic to Harrison and Glenmore.
