- Four inmates who escaped a Missouri jail were found just north of Cincinnati on Jan. 20 and Jan. 21. Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped a Scion tC for a traffic violation on the State Route 4 bypass near State Route 129. The four inmates tried to run, but two were found on Friday and the last two were found on Saturday. (NBC 4)
- City officials want to hear from residents about the first draft of the 2023 Green Cincinnati Plan, which calls for 100 percent carbon neutrality by 2050. The online survey is open through Feb. 8 and asks for feedback on the overall action plan as well as seven specific focus areas. Ollie Kroner, director of environment and sustainability, said, "City government is responsible for three and a half percent of our emissions, so the remainder has to come from community solutions." - The Devou Good Foundation released the "Cincinnati Traffic Violence Overall by Neighborhood" chart, which shows injuries and deaths from drivers striking pedestrians in Cincinnati neighborhoods. In many neighborhoods there were less injuries in 2022 than in 2021. But in Avondale, Over-the-Rhine, C.B.D / Riverfront, Camp Washington, East Price Hill, East Walnut Hills, and others there were more injuries in 2022. (Public Tableau)
