- Hamilton County’s bus service is launching its first two Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridors. Hamilton Avenue and Reading Road in Cincinnati are the debut sites for BRT service in the region. BRT's goal is to improve travel times in major traffic zones. (Spectrum News 1)
- Cincinnati gas prices have increased to $3.49 per gallon for regular. This is the second jump of the new year; the first jump was two weeks ago when the price rose to $3.25. AAA blames rising crude oil prices for the unusual slow rise in gas prices nationwide this month. (WCPO 9 Cincinnati)
- Irene Ferrin, 76, a Cincinnati woman, was ordered to repay the Veterans Administration for more than 40 years of impersonating her mother. Ferrin impersonated her deceased mother to keep receiving widow's benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Kenneth L. Parker, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Ohio, said, "For nearly 50 years, the defendant stole from the military veterans of this country and now, at this time of her life, is facing a criminal sentence." In August 2022, Ferrin pleaded guilty to one count of theft of public money. (WLWT Cincinnati)
