  1. A 15-year-old girl was shot in the stomach in a Cleveland home yesterday, Jan. 23. The shooting took place at around 3:00 a.m. on the 3400 block of E. 105 Street. According to Cleveland EMS, she was transported to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in critical condition. (News 5 Cleveland WEWS)
  2. As of the time of this writing, the National Weather Service’s forecast predicts a chance of snow mixing with freezing rain throughout the day tomorrow, Jan. 25. The snow might impact the Jan. 25 morning commute. (Cleveland.com)
  3. The pandemic-era federal food stamp benefits will end in March, leaving many Cuyahoga County residents facing potential food shortages. Carrie Traylor, a 64-year-old battling colon cancer, will have her food budget cut from $250 per month to $58. Hunger centers and food pantries through the Hunger Network and Greater Cleveland Food Bank are expecting an increased reliance on their services after the extra federal emergency allotment ends.   • The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information that would lead to the capture of fugitive 32-year-old Tristin Dent, who is known to frequent the Cleveland area. Dent is wanted for conspiracy to distribute and possession with the intent to distribute controlled substances. Dent is 5-feet 9-inches, weighs 160 pounds, and has black hair and a black beard. Contact the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force at 1-866-4WANTED with any information. (Cleveland 19 News)
  • As part of the Cleveland Institute of Music’s 2022-23 Kulas Visiting Artist Series, musicians Mike Block and Sandeep Das will perform on Feb. 3. Both Block and Das are members of world-famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble. (Cleveland.com)
  • Last week, Cleveland Public Library’s former director of its inclusion and leadership education department, Twyla Turner, sued the library system over her October firing. Turner also accused officials of racial discrimination and failing to comply with laws that allow a person to take medical leave if deemed necessary by a doctor. (Cleveland.com)
