Another Freeze Warning Issued For Greater Cleveland
Residents should take steps to prevent frozen pipes and plants, weather officials said.

CLEVELAND, OH — Another overnight freeze warning has been issued for portions of north central and northeast Ohio, the National Weather Service said.
The alert, which includes Greater Cleveland, will be in effect from 10 p.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Friday.
"Temperatures will remain near or above freezing along the immediate lakeshore," the warning read.

"The coldest temperatures will occur in interior portions of Northeast Ohio east of I-77, where lows as cold as the mid 20s are possible."
The frigid temperatures could kill sensitive outdoor plants and possibly damage plumbing, the weather agency said.

"Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold," the alert read.
"To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing."
