• Animal spotted in Ohio for first time in more than a century (wric.com) — Cleveland Metroparks has confirmed a rare fisher sighting in Cuyahoga County, the first documented there since the 1800s. Wildlife officials say the animal’s return highlights how long-term conservation and habitat restoration in Cleveland Metroparks are helping once-extirpated native species like otters, bobcats and trumpeter swans reappear in Northeast Ohio.
   

• 'SNL' Star Marcello Hernandez Reacts to Major Career News (goodhousekeeping.com) — Cleveland gets a proud shout-out as Marcello Hernandez credits starting stand-up here at 18, working dive bars, small clubs, and poetry slams before joining Saturday Night Live. Now he’s landing his first Netflix special, “American Boy,” premiering January 7, 2026, plus another Netflix comedy project with Kevin Hart later that year.
   

• James Reighart (cleveland.com) — Cleveland-area readers are remembering James Harrison Reighart, who grew up in Cleveland Heights and spent many years living in an eastern suburb while leading his family’s business in Willoughby. He and his late wife Barbara were longtime members of Garfield Memorial Methodist Church in Pepper Pike, and he is survived by family including a son in Chagrin Falls. No funeral service is planned.
