- University Hospitals are giving away anti-theft devices to their employees after a string of vehicle thefts of Kia and Hyundai cars. Six reported vehicle thefts in the area have taken place in parking lots at UH Cleveland Medical Center. University Hospitals said in a statement, "Like some cities have been doing, UH is being proactive and the UH Police Department will soon provide these steering locks to our employees who own Hyundai and Kia vehicles." - A deadly shooting occurred early Monday morning around 5:00 a.m. at a Sunoco gas station. Police responded to the location on Buckeye Avenue where they say a man died from a gunshot wound. No other information was available as of Monday evening. (Cleveland 19 News)
- Two Cleveland churches are part of 35 churches nationwide that received grants to help preserve their place in Civil Rights history. The African American Cultural Heritage Fund is providing a $20 million grant for these churches to address the needs of their physical structures to help preserve their history. Cleveland's Cory United Methodist Church and East Mount Zion Baptist Church will receive money from the grant. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
