Body Found Buried Beneath Basement Of Cleveland House: Cops
Cleveland police found human remains buried beneath a basement floor on Tuesday.

CLEVELAND — A body was found buried in the basement of a home in Cleveland on Tuesday.
Police received a tip warning them that a body was buried in the basement of a house in the 4000 block of West 49th. Officers obtained a search warrant and then scoured the home on Tuesday afternoon.
A body was found in the basement, a police spokesperson said. The remains were buried several feet beneath the floor. The Cleveland Fire Department helped police recover the body.

A person of interest in the case was identified as Andrew Smith, 28, who is already in police custody for an unrelated charge, the police spokesperson said.
The body was turned over to the Cuyahoga County Medical Eaminer's Office for an autopsy and investigation into the cause of death.
