Captive Missionary Group From Ohio Released By Haitian Kidnappers
The remaining missionaries who were being held captive in Haiti have been released.

HAITI — Kidnappers in Haiti have released the remaining captives from an abducted Ohio missionary group, police announced.
In October, 17 missionaries from Ohio-based Christian Aid Ministries were kidnapped by the 400 Mawozo gang. The gang's leader, Wilson Joseph, originally demanded $17 million for the group's release, or $1 million per hostage.
Days after the abduction, Joseph threatened to kill the missionaries if his demands were not met.

However, the 400 Mawozo gang began releasing hostages earlier this month. The remaining twelve captives were set free on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. Christian Aid Ministries issued a statement celebrating the release of the missionaries.
"We glorify God for answered prayer — the remaining twelve hostages are FREE! Join us in praising God that all seventeen of our loved ones are now safe. Thank you for your fervent prayers throughout the past two months. We hope to provide more information as we are able," Christian Aid Ministries said.

The organization released no further details on the captives release, but promised to share additional information at a later time.
The group of 17 kidnapped missionaries included five children. The missionaries hailed from all over the U.S. and Canada, including Ohio, Wisconsin, Michigan, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Oregon and Ontario, Canada.
