Car Falls Off Bridge After Rolling Over 2 Snowbanks In Cleveland

Police said an 18-year-old girl lost control of her car and drove off a bridge on Monday night.

CLEVELAND — A car drove over two snow banks and fell off a bridge before crashing onto a Cleveland street on Monday night, police announced.

At 9:20 p.m., a Toyota Corolla was going east on I-90 near West 98th. According to Cleveland police, the driver, an 18-year-old woman, lost control of the car and drove off the roadway.

The Corolla went up a snowbank, cleared a median wall and slid across four lanes of traffic. The car then drove up another snowbank and over a bridge wall, Cleveland police said.

The car fell off the bridge and hit the corner of West 98th and Marginal, police added. The driver was found by EMS and rushed to MetroHealth for treatment. Her condition is unknown.

The incident is still under investigation, according to a Cleveland police spokesperson.
