Cleveland Forecast: Rain Wed. Afternoon, Possible Storms Overnight
The area between Toledo and Findlay is considered at the greatest risk of severe storms, but damaging winds could get as far as Cleveland.
CLEVELAND, OH —Warm temperatures and rain on Wednesday afternoon in Cleveland will give way to falling temperatures and heavier rains tonight, according to the National Weather Service.
According to the forecast, the high Wednesday afternoon will be 72 degrees and the chance of rain is 80 percent. A thunderstorm is possible.
On Wednesday night in the Cleveland metro area, temperatures could drop to a low of around 48 degrees and there is a 70 percent chance of rain. South wind is expected at 14 mph to 16 mph, the NWS reports.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms is expected to move into Northwest Ohio after 11 p.m., before reaching Northeast Ohio by 3 a.m. The storms could bring damaging wind, and an isolated tornado and large hail are possible, according to the NWS and The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The NWS and NOAA have reported that severe thunderstorms are expected Wednesday across the Mid-South, lower to middle Mississippi Valley and Midwest.
The cities with the highest level of storm risk are farther south than Northeast Ohio, including: Evansville, Indiana, Memphis, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, Indianapolis and Nashville, Tennessee.
