- Cleveland Police said two Cleveland houses were caught in a crossfire during a gunfight on city’s West Side. Police said on Jan. 16, at 5:45 p.m., a four-door car started shooting at three men who were walking on Koch Court from West 50th Street. The three men then fired back, with the two homes right in the middle of the fight. Police said the two houses were struck with bullets, including one home with kids inside. (Cleveland 19 News)
- Tomorrow, Jan. 21, women in Cleveland and Northeast Ohio will rally for Women's March Cleveland's sixth-year anniversary and to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Roe Wade. The rally will begin at 12:30 p.m. Speakers include elected officials, reproductive rights and anti-violence advocates, educational and voting rights advocates, and Black mothers of Cleveland homicide victims. At 1:30 p.m., the march will begin. The rally will take place at Market Square Park, located at W. 25th Street and Lorain Avenue. (Patch)
- The Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s office announced yesterday, Jan. 19, that five adults and two teenagers are in custody for committing 13 aggravated robberies over the past two months in five cities, including Cleveland. The five adults, ages ranging from 19 to 22, are facing charges including aggravated robbery, felonious assault, theft, and receiving stolen property. The two teen boys were charged in juvenile court. (Cleveland 19 News)

- Cleveland-based Mitchell Brothers Ice Cream issued a voluntary recall after an undeclared allergen may be included in a number of ice cream pints. Up to 172 pints of Mitchell’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup ice cream may instead contain Peanut Butter Chocolate Pretzel Yogurt, according to a release from the Department of Agriculture. (Cleveland 19 News)
- The medical examiner released the causes of death for the five inmates who died in the Cuyahoga County Jail last year. Mark Lorenzo Turner, 32, of South Euclid died on Nov. 1 from acute intoxication by several prescription drugs. Melissa Musson, 47, of Cleveland died on Nov. 1, her death was ruled accidental by acute intoxication by cocaine, fentanyl, protonitazene, and morphine. Adam Weakley, 30, of Cleveland died in January of heart failure, 39-year-old Shondo Moffitt of Warrensville Heights also died of heart failure in April, and 56-year-old Edrick Brooks of Cleveland died on Dec. 9 of high blood pressure and heart disease.
