Cleveland Police and FBI Ask for Help Identifying West Side Bank Robbery Suspect [Photos]

CLEVELAND, OH — Cleveland Police and the Cleveland Division of the FBI are hoping that someone can help identify the person responsible for the robbery of the Citizens Bank at 15042 Puritas Ave.

On September 30, 2016 at around 3:30 p.m., an unidentified white female entered the Citizens Bank and presented a note indicating a bank robbery and suggesting that if the teller did not comply with her demand a bomb would explode.

A bomb or bomb-like materials were not observed however, the subject implied she had a bomb detonation device by holding a metallic cylinder item in her hand.

It is possible a second person involved in the robbery was waiting outside the bank during the robbery.

The teller complied with the demand made and the suspect quickly walked out of the bank, northbound towards the 150th Rapid station.

The suspect is described as a white female, approx 45-60 years-of-age, described as having tanned and "weathered" skin, with dirty blonde hair. She was wearing a maroon Hoodie with hood fully covering her head, black pants, a bright orange headband, and dark-framed glasses with clear lenses.

Tips can be provided to the Cleveland Police Department or the Cleveland Division of the FBI. Tips can remain anonymous. Reward money is available for tips leading to the successful identification and prosecution of the individual(s) responsible.
