Cleveland Police Officer Shot On East Side
A police officer was hospitalized after he was shot in the arm near East 61st Street and Central Avenue.
CLEVELAND, OH — A Cleveland police officer was shot on the city's East Side early Sunday morning, according to multiple news reports. The officer was shot in the arm around 3 a.m., WJW Fox 8 and News 5 Cleveland have reported.
Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association President Jeff Follmer told both news stations the officer was hospital and doing well. He was shot in the arm.
The circumstances that led to the shooting weren't clear as of just before noon Sunday.
