- Make sure you know before you go this morning; many Cleveland businesses have announced closings and cancellations due to the winter storm. A Christmas Story House, Cleveland State University, and Erie and Cuyahoga County offices are among several other businesses that will be closed. Community members are encouraged to use caution if they need to go out due to the predicted severity of the storm. (WJW FOX 8 News Cleveland)
- In the midst of flu season and a spread of RSV cases, COVID-19 continues to hit the state of Ohio. Ohio reports 17,891 more COVID-19 cases, which is up from the previous week when 16,719 cases were reported. The number of hospitalized patients has also increased from 867 on Nov. 25 to 1,292 on Thursday. (Subscription: cleveland.com)
- Police may be offering up to $2,500 in reward money for anyone who can help find a Cleveland man wanted for biting and strangling a victim in a 2017 attack. According to police, Clarence Flowers is charged with abduction, assault, and petty theft after strangling a man and biting his leg. His last known location is near Park Grove Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard in Cleveland. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at

- A massive LEGO convention is coming to Cleveland in 2023 and supporting underprivileged children. The Cleveland Brick Convention is supporting Creations for Charity, an organization that buys new LEGO sets for underprivileged children around the world during the holidays, with a portion of the proceeds going to the all-volunteer nonprofit organization. The convention will take place on Jul. 22 and 23 at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. Tickets cost $14.99 and can be purchased here. (Fox 8 News)
- The City of Cleveland's Winter and Snow Plan has information about the snow policy, parking bans, warming centers, safety tips, and how to prepare for potential power outages. Information about all of these resources can be found here. (City of Cleveland)
- The Cleveland Browns face off against the New Orleans Saints on Saturday. The current forecast for the weather is a high of 13 degrees and a low of 7 degrees, with a 40 percent chance of snow, according to the National Weather Service. If the forecast stays as it is, Saturday will be only the fourth time in the franchise’s history that the team will play an at-home game with temperatures under 15 degrees as measured at the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.
