  1. According to the article, after spending $116 million on ARPA slush funds and Medical Mart renovations, Cuyahoga County has no money to build a new jail. To do so, the Cuyahoga County Council would have to extend the quarter-percent sales tax by at least 40 years to pay a $2 billion debt service. (Cleveland.com)
  2. Late Thursday night, Sep. 22, a 41-year-old man was shot in the leg at Superior Avenue and East Boulevard. Cleveland EMS found the victim near the Syrian Cultural Garden on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and took him to University Hospitals in serious condition. (Cleveland 19)
  3. Yesterday, Sep. 23, a same-sex couple competed in Cleveland DanceSport for the first time in its 22-year history. The local ballroom dancing pair, Clevelander Frank Anthony and Braxton Knowles of Columbus, danced against male-female pairings in the American Rhythm category. (Cleveland.com)
