Damaging Winds Expected In Northern Ohio, Big Temp Drop: Forecast
Wind gusts could hit 50 mph on Thursday before temperatures plunge 30 degrees overnight.
OHIO — A wind advisory has been issued for all of northern Ohio on Thursday morning, the National Weather Service announced.
The advisory will remain in place until at least 2 p.m. on Thursday. Wind gusts could hit 50 mph or higher, with average winds in the 20-30 mph range, the agency predicted.
"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," the National Weather Service added.

As of 8 a.m. on Thursday, there were approximately 5,000 power outages among FirstEnergy's Ohio customers. Cuyahoga County had more than 1,700 reported outages, Erie County had more than 2,600 outages, and Huron County had more than 400 outages.
A small craft advisory is also in place along Lake Erie due to the wind conditions. That will remain in place until at least 11 a.m., the National Weather Service said.

Temperatures are expected to plummet overnight between Thursday and Friday. Thursday's projected high is 63 degrees, according to forecasts, but the overnight low is 34 degrees. Temperatures will remain chilly to end the work week, the National Weather Service predicted.
