Flood Warnings Issued For Communities Around Ohio: Forecast
Several rivers and creeks throughout the Buckeye State are expected to flood on Wednesday, Thursday and early Friday.
CLEVELAND — The National Weather Service issued multiple flood warnings for communities in northern Ohio.
After weeks of frigid temperatures, Wednesday and Thursday will see highs in the low to mid-50s, according to forecasts. Piles of snow that accumulated through late January and early February will begin to melt away during those days, and heavy rainfall is possible on Thursday. That could lead to widespread flooding, the National Weather Service said.
Flooding could impact homes and businesses in cities like Valley View, Warren, and Leavittsburg, among others. Here are the rivers that could flood on Wednesday or Thursday:

- Cuyahoga River At Independence affecting Cuyahoga County.
- Cuyahoga River At Old Portage affecting Summit County.
- Killbuck Creek Near Killbuck affecting Holmes and Wayne counties.
- Mahoning River At Warren affecting Trumbull County.
- Mahoning River At Leavittsburg affecting Trumbull County.
- Mahoning River At Youngstown affecting Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
"Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles," the National Weather Service said.
