OHIO — Flooding may develop throughout parts of northern Ohio as heavy rain moves through the area.

A low-pressure system will move into northern Ohio Thursday night and could bring steady, heavy rainfall with it. Showers could continue through the morning, which could create "minor flooding" in areas with poor drainage, the National Weather Service warned.

Flooding could be a possibility in the following counties: Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Erie, Lorain, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Ashtabula, Hancock, Seneca, Huron, Medina, Summit, Portage, Trumbull, Wyandot, Crawford, Richland, Ashland, Wayne, Stark, Mahoning, Marion, Morrow, Holmes, and Knox.

"Periods of moderate to heavy rain are expected to move northeast to northwestern Pennsylvania by mid-morning Friday, then continue into the afternoon. This may allow for minor flooding, especially in poor drainage areas impacted by recent rains," the National Weather Service warned.

Rain could continue through Saturday and into Sunday, though most showers should dry out before trick-or-treating in the evening.
