Gas Station Shooting In Cleveland: 50-Year-Old Woman Killed

Two cars drove by the gas station shooting, police believe, and a 50-year-old woman was killed in the gunfire.

CLEVELAND — A woman was shot to death near a Cleveland gas station on Wednesday.

At 3:30 a.m., 911 callers reported hearing gunshots near a gas station on St. Clair Avenue. When officers arrived they found a 50-year-old woman on the sidewalk. She had been shot in the head and was declared dead on the scene, Cleveland police said.

A 19-year-old man was also hurt in the shooting. Police said he had a gunshot wound to his back. He was rushed to University Hospitals by EMS.

Investigators believe two passing vehicles fired the bullets that struck the 50-year-old and the 19-year-old. No arrests have yet been made, police said.
