Great River Connections Academy Recognizes Cleveland Student

COLUMBUS, OH – Heidi Holtz of Cleveland was recently selected to be among Great River Connections Academy’s Students of the Month in recognition of her outstanding achievements and leadership in the virtual classroom.

Heidi, a junior at the statewide online public charter school, was nominated by her teacher, Mrs. Hannah, because of her hard work and outstanding participation during class.

“Our students of the month demonstrate leadership and an extraordinary commitment to learning while serving as strong role models for their peers,” said Jason Swinehart, Principal at Great River Connections Academy. “The members of our faculty and staff are proud to give these virtual classroom leaders the recognition they deserve.”

Heidi said she enrolled in Great River Connections Academy last year to be in a learning environment that offered more challenging courses than were available at her previous school.

“I was searching for an online school that had courses that I'm interested in taking, and GRCA was the best choice among the rest,” Heidi said. “The courses that I picked out work very well for me, and the course material is exactly what I was looking for from an online academy.”
