How Long Will Warm Spell Last? Is More Snow Coming?: OH Forecast

Northern Ohio will see several days of unusual February heat. But could more snow be on the horizon?

CLEVELAND — Temperatures will nearly hit 60 degrees on Tuesday in northern Ohio before plummeting overnight, according to forecasts.

Northern Ohio will enjoy three-days of unusually high February temperatures on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, the National Weather Service said. A "southerly flow" and "high pressure" are contributing to the warm up.

While the late winter thaw will be a welcome relief to many northern Ohioans, a sudden bout of frigid cold and a possible dash of snow could spoil any thoughts of an early spring. While Tuesday will see a high of nearly 60 degrees, Tuesday night will see temperatures fall into the 20s.

The winter cold will continue through the end of the week. Precipitation is likely to start Thursday and could turn to widespread snow on Thursday night and Friday morning, according to forecasts. It's too early to predict how much snowfall could accumulate.

Northern Ohio will likely get snow on Thursday night, while portions of central and southern Ohio will get a wintry mix, the National Weather Service said on Twitter.
