Johnny Manziel in 'Horrible Downward Spiral,' Report Says
TMZ talked to Manziel's friends who say the quarterback isn't in good shape.
Friends of Johnny Manziel say the former Cleveland Browns quarterback is in a "a horrible downward spiral" and that, "If he continues this way for much longer he will die," according to a report from TMZ.
The website quoted several sources "very close to the QB" who expressed their concern for the former Heisman Trophy-winner at Texas A&M and hoped the story "will serve as a wake-up call" for his drug and alcohol problems.
The Browns officially cut their 2014 first-round draft pick in March on the first day they could do so without incurring significant salary cap penalties.

Manziel faces up to a year in prison and a $4,000 fine for a domestic violence charge stemming from a night out in Dallas with his ex-girlfriend.
His father said in February that if Manziel didn't get help for his drug and alcohol abuse he could be dead by 24.
