Lake Effect Snow Inbound: 2-4 Inches Possible Sunday, Monday

The Monday morning commute could be more slippery than usual.

CLEVELAND — Two to four inches of snow could hit parts of northern Ohio on Sunday and Monday.

"The highest snowfall rates are expected between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. today, when snow may begin accumulating on area roadways," the National Weather Service said.

A winter weather advisory was issued for Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake counties on Sunday and will remain in place until at least 7 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service announced. The inclement weather could impact morning commutes.

If you are caught in a nasty winter situation while driving, proceed slowly and use extra caution.

The highest snowfall totals are expected south of I-90 in Lake County and east of I-271 in Cuyahoga County.
