CLEVELAND, OH — The end of the school year is near, and that means one thing: The kids are coming. They are leaving their daily educational lives for nice weather and months without a schedule.
If you don't want their brains to turn to mush or need them supervised, the good news is that kids love summer camps.

Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Cleveland Metroparks are great for the child who lives and breathes for playing outside and is always curious about nature. The Holden Arboretum hosts summer camp to allow kids to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature, even from the top of a tower within the trees. If your camper prefers flowers instead, not to worry. The Cleveland Botanical Garden offers several camps. Whether crafting "EcoArt" or being a Habitat Hunter, kids in first to fifth grade have the opportunity to attend camp inside a beautiful oasis. Is your camper more artistically inclined? We have just the place for you. The Beck Center for the Arts offers many types of art camps, and there is bound to be one that is right for your child. A staple in the Cleveland area with its many campuses, Cuyahoga Community College has different camps across its campuses for children from 4 to 18. Some camps are offered at multiple campuses. There are community education, creative arts academy and nuts-and-bolts academy. These are not your typical camps! In Akron, Old Trail School has many summer camps with flexibility for families with hectic schedules. The camps offer half-day and full-day options, transportation, early drop-off and after-camp care. Plus, the school is inside the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a beautiful setting.
