2) The Houston Texans, Deshaun Watson's former team, had their hands in Watson's massage scandal, reports the New York Times. The Texas provided Watson with a venue for massage appointments, and then gave him a nondisclosure agreement after a woman threatened to expose his unwanted sexual behavior during the massages.

  • Watson now faces 24 accusers who claim he became inappropriate and sexually aggressive during their massages. The Times claims records show Watson met with at least 66 female masseuses.
  • Neither the Browns nor the Texans would comment to the Times.

3) A traveler passing through Cleveland Hopkins International Airport had his luggage and expensive contents stolen — but he solved his own crime. The man found the luggage in the bathroom but all the expensive stuff was gone. Thinking like a thief, he then tracked down his stolen Xbox and other electronics on a popular reselling site. The man enlisted Cleveland Police and together they tracked down the Xbox to a West Side shop, where the man got it back.

4) Vincent Montague, formerly leader of Cleveland’s Black Shield Police Association, is suing the city, the public safety director and others, claiming he was targeted because he's Black and he supported police reform. Montague, currently serving in the U.S. Navy, was fired in December. In his lawsuit, he claims Lt. Timothy Maffo-Judd targeted him in a 2019 bribery investigation to retaliate for his reformer views.

5) Cleveland is one of the worst places in the United States for Black women to live. To address that problem, the City Council this week voted to create the Cleveland Commission on Black Women and Girls. Its mission: to strengthen families and communities through advocacy programs and legislation. The 14-member commission will tap members from business, education, social services and the faith community, along with a doctor and a representative from City Hall.
