Here are the top three stories in Cleveland today:
- Two minors have been identified as the individuals sending threatening Instagram messages to middle school and high school students from nearby Beachwood. The Beachwood Police Department concluded its investigation into the incident on Dec. 14. Multiple students had received messages threatening harm if they did not share the sender's post. The Superintendent of Beachwood City Schools updated the school community on the status of the situation in a Dec. 12 email. (Cleveland Jewish News)
- A local Cleveland comic book store is using art to support the community. Carol and John's Comic Book Shop is holding its annual art show, with all proceeds going to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Local artists have created custom comic book covers for the show, which can be won through a raffle system. The benefit runs through Dec. 17. (cleveland.com)
- Cleveland's cat lovers may soon be able to show off their affection for felines with a new license plate design. A bill has been proposed to add a 'Weirdo Cat Lovers of Cleveland' license plate option. The bill had its first open hearing on Dec. 13, bringing the idea one step closer to reality.
