OH Weather: Plummeting Temps, Possible Snow On Super Bowl Weekend

California may be hot, but Ohio is going to be very cold the weekend of the big game.

OHIO — Super Bowl weekend will bring a mix of rain and snow and plunging temperatures in northern Ohio, according to current forecasts.

There's a slight chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday, the National Weather Service said. If snow does develop, little to no accumulation is expected either day.

However, temperatures will fall drastically on Saturday night. After consecutive days in the 40s, temperatures will fall into the single digits on Saturday night and Sunday morning, current forecasts predict.

Sunday could be particularly frigid in northern Ohio. Super Bowl Sunday's current projected high in Ohio is 21 degrees, but the overnight low will dip down to 9 degrees, the National Weather Service predicted.

Conditions will be quite a bit warmer in California where the Cincinnati Bengals will play the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI. Temperatures could hit 90 degrees in greater Los Angeles and heat advisories have been issued for parts of California in advance of the Super Bowl, prompted by an unusual hot streak in February, the Washington Post reported.
