Ohio Parks Renamed For Cincinnati Bengals Ahead Of Super Bowl
Three Ohio state parks will be temporarily renamed in advance of Super Bowl LVI.
CINCINNATI — Three Ohio parks will be temporarily renamed in honor of the Cincinnati Bengals, who are playing in their first Super Bowl since 1989 on Sunday.
“We are incredibly proud of the Bengals and everything they have accomplished this season,” said Gov. Mike DeWine. “The whole state will be rooting for Cincinnati on Sunday, and this is a fun way to show support for the orange and black."
The three parks being renamed are Burr Oak State Park in Glouster, Paint Creek State Park in Bainbridge, and Hueston Woods State Park in College Corner.

Burr Oak will become Burrow Oak State Park, in honor of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, said DeWine and Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Director Mary Mertz. Should Cincinnati win on Sunday, Burrow would become the first quarterback in history to win a Heisman Trophy, a college football National Championship and a Super Bowl.
Paint Creek State Park will become Evan McPherson Extra Point Creek State Park, in honor of the Bengals kicker who sent the team to the AFC Championship and then the Super Bowl with game-winning kicks.
